ABOUT ABOUT

Leave the kids at home. This event is for adults 21+!

Grab your friends and celebrate Halloween at the Museum, AfterHours style!

Are you a fan of the paranormal studies field? We’ve got you covered! Join our friends at the Association of Paranormal Study for an immersive presentation on their findings in popular locations across the southeast.

Meet some of our resident constrictors and delve into the stigma surrounding snakes with our animal care team specialists. Apprehensive about insects? Chat with our entomology team and overcome your fear of cockroaches or arachnids at the insectarium. Are you brave enough to play a game of “what’s in the box?”

Take an ominous train ride through the woods on the Ellerbe Creek Railway, stop to experience the Cursed Caboose, or test your luck with our Snack Roulette. Snazzy, tasteful costumes are welcome!

Your ticket includes:

- One train ride on the Ellerbe Creek Railway.
- Access to some of our most popular indoor and outdoor spaces like the Magic Wings Butterfly House, Bayer Insectarium and more.
- Expert led art and science activities.
- Beer, mead, and wine samples provided by our wonderful vendors

Beer and wine will be available for purchase at our cash bars. Three food trucks will be on site with food for purchase. All money raised from this event will benefit our conservation and education initiatives that help inspire lifelong learning at the Museum.
