Tis’ the Season! This event is 21+ so leave the kids at home and join us for AfterHours Up Close: Holiday Spirits!
Grab your friends and skate in your socks on our synthetic skating rink! Enjoy spiked hot chocolate before hopping aboard the Ellerbe Creek Railroad for an enchanting trip through the woods. Then, take a leisurely stroll under thousands of glistening lights from the Butterfly House up through our Dinosaur Trail. Take photos at some of our most unique photo op spots on campus. Don’t forget to swing by the Butterfly House and paint your very own holiday ornament with our friends at Painted Grape or watch demonstrations on making and tasting dry ice concoctions. Ask experts questions that you’ve always wondered about snowflakes and much more!
Admission to Holiday Spirits includes:
- One complimentary beer or wine from our cash bar.
- One train ride on the Ellerbe Creek Railway.
- Access to some of our most popular exhibits, including the Dino Trail, Butterfly House, and Bayer Insectarium.
- Expert led activities exploring liquid nitrogen, ornament art, and more!
Beer, wine, and a signature Tito’s Cocktail will be available for purchase at our cash bars. All proceeds from this event will benefit our conservation and education initiatives that help inspire lifelong learning at the Museum. Tito's Handmade Vodka will match ticket sales up to $2,500.
