ABOUT ABOUT

This event is for adults 21+!

Jumpstart Halloween by exploring some of humanity’s most common fear factors from the safety of your home! Are you brave enough to attend our zoom webinar event? We think so!

Join The Ghost Guild, the exclusive paranormal research team for Raleigh's Mordecai Historic Park, as they discuss a scientific approach to investigating paranormal claims and how they go about analyzing data. Be prepared to put your critical thinking skills to the test as they share some “mysteries” and experiences with us.

Got goosebumps yet? Stick around for a live Q&A session with Guild members and perhaps you’ll consider joining them on a future investigation!

Want to know more about the neuroscience surrounding fear? Our friends from Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies at UNC School of Medicine will serve up some stimulating knowledge about the brain’s response to being scared.

Discover the stigma surrounding ophiophobia (fear of snakes) and arachnophobia (fear of spiders) with our resident constrictors and arachnids. Ask our animal educators questions about these extraordinary animals in real time and debunk some of their most common myths!

To top it off, representatives from Tito’s Handmade Vodka will share their recipes for some ghostly cocktails you can enjoy at home! We’re even raffling some sweet Tito’s swag during the event.

Don’t be AFRAID to support our mission of lifelong learning! All proceeds from this spine-chilling event will go directly to helping us care for our animals and continue providing educational experiences for people of all ages. Plus, Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be matching ticket sales up to $1,000!

Got questions? We’re happy to help.
